Merry Christmas 2020 from Simply Mourne
With Christmas almost upon us and we are all making the frantic last minute preparations, I wanted to take a few moments and say thank you to all my customers for their support in 2020 which was a year of change and challenge for Simply Mourne.
2020 - a year of change at Simply Mourne
2020 was a huge year of change at Simply Mourne too. We started off the year as a "bricks and mortar" business with only a very small online presence. COVID-19 hit us with a bang in March and we realised that we had to create an online shop for the business. This was launched in May and we took the opportunity to change the name too from Mourne Pebble Art to Simply Mourne. Since then, the online orders have been flooding in from Ireland, Great Britain and even places as far away as Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
2020 - a year of challenge at Simply Mourne
While change can be a positive thing for many people, it certainly brought with it a lot of challenges for me as a small business owner. It's not just about spending time in the studio creating the pictures, there are many other hats which I have had to wear during the year and each one has brought its own challenge. From placing orders for the frames, responding to emails, writing Instagram stories, taking boxes off a delivery lorry to despatching orders with couriers and the post office in Katesbridge. I have definitely learned a lot this year but I have enjoyed every minute of it.
A heartfelt thank you
None of this would have been possible had the Simply Mourne customers not believed and encouraged me this year. I have been blown away by your support and I would like to thank each and every customer for purchasing one of our pictures in 2020. I am truly grateful and humbled to think that one of my pictures will be decorating homes around the world this Christmas. Your kind words have meant so much to me and kept me going during the madness of 2020.
Looking forward to 2021
2020 may not have been the year that we all hoped for but together we can be positive and excited for a better 2021 together. At Simply Mourne, we have some exciting new products in the pipeline and we look forward to sharing details about them very soon.
